What specific
elements of the film opening did you dislike? |
Did this look like a
movie opener and did it make you want to know what happens next? Explain. |
Was there anything
that left you confused? (be specific) |
What suggestions do
you have to make this movie opener better? |
I like the
explanations throughout the film opener. |
I dislike how there
was little suspense. Also, Daniel should not have been in black clothing. |
It does look like an
opener since you now wonder who will be stalked next. |
I was confused as to
how Daniel did not see the stalker in plain sight. |
Daniel should wear
colored clothing so he looks different than the stalker. The shots where he
speaks should be more clear. |
The music fit, the
dark gritty camera quality kind of added. |
The fact it seems
more like a trailer and the fact that it ends. |
No, not a movie
opener, more like a short film, it clearly ended which makes it not qualify
as an opener. |
No |
Concept is good, just
don't end it. Act a little better. |
At the beginning I
liked that they had the stalker and Daniel all in one picture because you
could then see how close he was to the stalker and still not know he was
there. |
I didn’t like how
dark it was at times and the filmed got his fingers in the frame. |
I think that I had
lots of potential, but they ended it with the end which should not have been
like that. |
I feel that most of
it was clear. |
They need to change
the orientation of the frame, the lighting could be different, and it was
very shaky. So keep the idea just get better clips filmed. |
I really enjoyed the
beginning of the film, I feel like the text font and black background really
adds to the suspense of the scene. |
The camera angles were
a little shaky and it distracted the audience. Also the lighting in geb first
scene glimmered in the camera lens and is also distracting. |
It makes me want to
see who the killer is and what will happen further due to mostly the font and
feel of the film itself. |
Some of the text is
too much to read and it really takes a long time. |
Try and reduce the
amount the writing on the screen when looking at the in text. Also if you’re
going to add more text then give enough time to read it. |
The sound effects and
music. |
The opening was just
text, it could have had voice over. |
No, and yes. It made
me want to know what happens next but I can't because it ends. |
No, not really. |
Voice over for
dialogue, better acting. |
I liked the music. |
I disliked the camera
quality. |
Yes, I am curious on
what I will have to do next. |
No, this was my film
opener |
Better quality,
better editing, better acting. |
Love the font and the
title music. I love movies where it makes you read details after showing you
a clip, it's giving Star Wars explanation intro. The handheld camera
following him as we walked towards his house made it feel like we were in the
scene walking behind him. The shank was hilarious, because why did it have to
sound like that. 58??! Also, I love how after the end slide, it kept playing
the eerie music with a black screen for a while longer. It had me staring at
my computer expecting a jump scare, so I really liked the anticipation that
prolonged ending created. |
All good. |
If Daniel's body was
never found and the killer was never caught, what is the rest of the movie
about? Daniel or the killer? That factor would make or break my interest. |
Not really, I loved
the writing in between the shots. |
If the movie is about
Daniel, end it with a title slide that says they found his body months/years
later with a "to be continued" and make it a mystery movie. If the
movie is about the killer, end it by saying he's on the hunt again and found
his next victim. Make it lead into something since this is just supposed to
be an opener, not a short film. This one and the alien one were definitely
the best ones though. |
The intro was good,
the camera angles were good, and the text fonts fit the theme. |
I didn't like how
each scene was pretty slow. |
This did look like a
movie opener, it looked pretty interesting so i would like to know what
happens next. |
Why it wasn't
landscape. |
Make the opener
landscape, and maybe more monologue. |
I liked the plot, and
how it made the movie actually creepy. |
I did not like the
little amounts of angles used. |
Yes, it made me want
to know who the killer was. |
No. |
I would suggest for
there to be more angles used throughout the film, and more dialogue. |
I liked that there
was plenty of time to read each thing that came up. |
I did not like that
it was kind of boring to watch. |
Yes it sets up the
story of his stalker. |
No I was not
confused. |
I don’t have any
suggestions. |
There were in between
of dialogue and caption that explains what could happens and what's
happening. Motion shots, 1st person shot, and whole body shots. The lighting
was pretty nice and fitted for the mood. |
The thief looked into
the camera angle which didn't make much sense why they would do that other
than making sure Daniel went away. Choppy camera angle when Daniel left and
the thief makes a closer appearance. |
No, it felt like a
short film because the ending was there and explained through the captions in
the video. |
No. |
Add low or high angle
shots and make it seem more impactful and suspenseful. |
I liked the horror
aspect to it as well as the mystery. The setting was also good as it gave off
an ominous feeling |
I disliked the ending
as it wasn't a cliff hanger and the film ended there. |
Overall it was very
good, but like I said, the ending should be more open ended so that the film
could continue |
Nothing confusing |
Fix the ending and
add some more dialogue in the film |
The lighting and
suspenseful music made for a good horror film feeling |
The quietness of the
dialogue |
This felt like a
movie opener, and I would enjoy seeing what happens next. |
What was the killer's
motive when they whispered "vengeance" upon entering his home. |
A little more
dialogue or storyline to make the viewer more sympathetic to Daniel. |
I like the low key
lighting and creepiness of the film. |
I didn’t not like the
camera how it did not cover the whole screen. |
This kind of looked
like a movie opener. The style was like a movie opener but it told the whole
story and there was no suspense at the end. |
I was confused as the
why Daniel was being stalked. |
I would change the
camera and add something at the end to create suspense. |
- music was fitting |
- camera work was
terrible |
It did look like a
movie opener. No I did not want to see what happened next since the entire
story took place in the first scene. |
I was confused
regarding how they knew his body was stabbed 58 times if his body was never
found? That logically doesn’t make much sense. |
- reshoot every shot
intentionally and with attention to detail |
